Healthcare Administration (Online), AA

Purpose and Objectives

The Associate of Arts in Healthcare Administration provides online students the skills and essential principles and practices in Healthcare Administration. Many students continue their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a Healthcare Administration Major, and ultimately a Master of Arts in Business Administration (MBA), with concentration in Healthcare Administration.

Objectives

• Demonstrate basic proficiency in essential business skills
• Articulate a personal philosophy of ethical practices and leadership in the healthcare and healthcare administration profession
• Understand a biblical-based Christian worldview that can be used in healthcare settings

Completion Requirements

• A minimum 60 total semester hours of credit
• A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
• Completion of a minimum of 15 semester hours of CIU coursework
• Completion of a biblical studies core that includes 9 hours of Bible/theology/ministry courses and at least one additional interdisciplinary Bible-related course
• Completion of the 15-hour Healthcare Administration concentration
