Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Kinesiology will prepare students with the scientific knowledge and applied skills necessary for careers and graduate study in fields such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and wellness promotion.
The program emphasizes human performance, movement science and preventive health.Students will study anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and exercise testing while gaining hands on experience through laboratory courses and internships.Compared to biomedical science which emphasizes cellular and molecular biology, exercise science takes a more holistic approach to human health.In contrast with health sciences, exercise science is more tightly focused on human performance and rehabilitation pathways.

Pre-Clinical Health Specialization
This specialization includes the prerequisite coursework required for a variety of clinical health professions including physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, chiropractic and other graduate-level clinical programs. It is designed for students pursuing advanced study in health professions that require a strong foundation in the biological and physical sciences.
Human Performance Specialization
The Human Performance specialization prepares students for direct-entry careers in strength and conditioning, personal training, fitness leadership, and performance coaching. In addition, this specialization provides the academic foundation needed for advanced or graduate study in exercise physiology and related fields.

Graduation Requirements
- Minimum 120 semester hours of credit
- Complete 18 hours in Bible and Theology courses.
- 6 semester hours of Leadership Development courses.
- Minimum of 30 semester hours of General Education
- Satisfactory evidence of Christian character and doctrinal views
- Meets all ethical requirements and Student Life standards
- Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
