Global Migration Studies Certificate


Overview

The Certificate in Global Migration Studies provides students with an understanding of global migration and the cultural, economic, and spiritual impact of peoples on the move. The Certificate further equips students to minister to refugees, asylum seekers, international students and other immigrants. 

Admission Requirements

  • Online application
  • Application fee
  • Affirm to be a Christian and agree with CIU’s Doctrinal Standard
  • Official transcript for highest earned degree and any master’s level credits earned
    • A minimum 2.5 GPA for the most recent degree obtained.
  • Essay (800 words total)
  • Church Leader Reference

Completion Requirements

Students must complete 12 hours of specified coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in order to receive the certificate in Global Migration Studies.

Note:


This certificate program is not eligible for federal Title IV financial aid funds – i.e. Federal Direct Loans. Students who are interested in exploring other financial aid options should contact the Financial Aid Office.
