Welcome to Your Student Handbook

This Student Handbook for Residential Undergraduate Students is the official statement of the student community life at Columbia International University. It is compiled and edited by students, faculty, and staff, and applies to all residential undergraduate students. You are responsible for knowing and following this handbook.

The handbook works alongside two other documents: the University Catalog (containing academic policy and degree requirements) and the published policies at ciu.edu/policies. Where the handbook is silent, those documents are authoritative. CIU reserves the right to revise the handbook at any time by adding or amending policies. Significant changes will be communicated by email and posted at my.ciu.edu. Failure to read the handbook does not exempt you from accountability for what it says.
