BUS 4710 - Global Strategic Planning Credits: 3
This course is designed to prepare students to make informed strategic decisions in the modern business environment where global competition is increasingly common. Strategic planning entails recognizing guiding philosophy and the alignment of these guiding philosophies with the truths of Scripture, examining external and internal environments to identify opportunities and neutralize threats. Choosing and implementing SMART goals consistent with the purposes of God and organizational stakeholders, and evaluation of these actions based on guiding philosophy. In global environments, this examination has the added complexity of a wide range of cultural contexts. However, with increased complexity comes increased opportunity. Students will be equipped to navigate the strategic challenges and opportunities of global competition including both business and corporate-level decision-making. (3)
