The second part of American Literature begins with the study of the literary contributions of significant American authors from the early to mid-18th Century and continues in a survey format to the present. You will read a variety of literature fiction, poetry, drama, and creative non-fiction paying particular attention to the expression and development of significant American values found within the works studied. Prerequisite: ENG 1111.
