PHI 4812 - Political Theory Seminar

This is an advanced seminar in which students will be introduced to primary philosophical ideas, contested meanings of those ideas, and relations between those ideas. We will focus on understanding several key political ideas: social justice, liberty, equality, community, and democracy. Students will read a selection of historically important philosophical works on these ideas, with the goal of understanding the meanings of and relations between them.
