An investigation into the chemistry of life. Emphasis is placed on structure of biomolecules, enzyme kinetics, metabolism, membranes, proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids. Hands on laboratory exercises reinforce concepts from lecture. (Lab requirement separate.)
