CNS 9200 - Professional Orientation, Ethics, & Identity

This course will begin the process of orientation and identity development from counselors to counselor educators and supervisors, exploring an overview of the history and development of counselor education with an examination of the theoretical orientation and practical skills necessary to function effectively as a counselor educator. This course will examine current topics pertinent to teaching counselor education, ethical practice, and the development of identity across the five domains (teaching, clinical, supervision, research, leadership and advocacy) in the profession of counselor education, contextualizing faith into practice to produce biblically grounded and professionally excellent scholar practitioners.
