The purpose of Residency 2 is to provide professional development through an in-person context, supporting and advancing doctoral students’ research skills through focus groups and initial topic exploration with faculty and the application of their personal philosophy of teaching through co-teaching and co-supervising of master’s level counseling students with faculty. Residencies provide an opportunity for rejuvenation and recalibration of purpose and motivation for students, fellowshipping across doctoral and master’s residency cohorts to enhance relationships and promote opportunities for modeling and mentoring.
