This course serves as a primer on networking essentials, structured around the OSI model. It delves into fundamental hardware elements like routers, hubs, switches, Ethernet, fiber optics, and wireless technologies. Exploring protocols, it covers the application layer (HTTP), transport layer (TCP, UDP), network layer (IP), and link layer (Ethernet). Participants will also receive an introduction to application programming within networking contexts, encompassing pertinent protocols and languages like C++, XHTML, PHP, and MySQL.
Furthermore, the curriculum includes insights into the historical progression of networks and the ethical considerations intertwined with networking practices.
