CSC 6110 - Foundations of Cryptography Credits: 3
This course provides a comprehensive survey of cryptography algorithms. By the conclusion of the semester, students will possess the capability to elucidate concepts pertaining to applied cryptography, encompassing plaintext, ciphertext, symmetric cryptography, asymmetric cryptography, and digital signatures. The theoretical underpinnings regarding the security aspects of diverse cryptographic algorithms will be a focal point throughout the duration of the course. Alongside this, students will acquire the skills to develop secure applications through programming. Ultimately, students are anticipated to construct a secure program by the semester’s end.
