PSY 2100 - Statistics for the Social Sciences Credits: 3
This course introduces students to the basic statistical procedures used in psychology and other social sciences. Students will learn to describe data using measures of central tendency and variability; they will also learn the logic of hypothesis-testing and inference, and how to calculate and interpret some basic parametric and nonparametric tests. This course prepares students to design and evaluate simple experiments and understand basic published research.
