CHM 2230 - Communicating God’s Word

This class offers foundational principles and skills training that will enable Bible majors to communicate God’s Word in a variety of settings. You will discuss strategies for creating an hospitable learning enviroment, practice inductive Bibly study methods that enhamce preperation, and discover how to formulate Bible study objectives and how to organize material in a clear, easy-to-follow format for presentation. You will practice writing sound Bible discussionquestions, identify various learning styles, explore ways to enhance learner application, and receive encouraging perspectives from Sripture on the ministry of teaching. The course includes an experiential component: You will lead a small group Bible discussion in class and teach once in an off-campus venue.
