Business Administration, BS

Purpose

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program prepares and equips students to effectively lead and manage businesses and organizations anywhere in the world, including for-profit enterprises, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental and international non-governmental entities.

This major is intended for those students with an interest in Business including Management, Health Care Administration, Human Resources, Law, Risk Management, Finance and Marketing.

Objectives

Upon completing the Business Administration major, each graduate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate basic proficiency in essential business, leadership, management, and entrepreneurial skills in order to enter a business or non-profit organization at a managerial or leadership level, or to launch his/her own business enterprise.
  • Demonstrate how training in business administration is strategic and sustainable in the context of the various communities and cultures in which one serves.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply principles and concepts of accounting, finance, human resources, insurance, law, leadership, management, marketing, planning, and supply chain management in evaluating and managing business issues.
  • Devise a personal philosophy of business, leadership, and philanthropy that integrates a biblically-based, Christian worldview applicable in any community or cultural setting.

Students transferring credits from an accredited institution, including technical or junior colleges, which are related to entrepreneurship, a ministry, or profession, and which are approved by the Dean of the School of Business and Professional Studies.
