LNG 6905 - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Practicum

This course is designed to enable TESOL students to complement their coursework with experience in the K-12 and/or adult English as a Second Language (ESL) classroom. Students attend weekly classes, observe experienced ESL teachers, tutor non-native speakers, write lesson plans, and teach ESL classes under the supervision of CIU faculty. These placements are designed to provide students with opportunities to develop their teaching and ministry skills in a supportive environment. Students must receive a satisfactory grade in this course in order to register for LNG 6939 and/or LNG 7970. Repeatable. (0.5)
