HRM 6020 - Human Resources Management Credits: 3
People (human resources) are viewed by many experts as the most important asset of any organization. Managing an organizations human assets is often the most challenging and complex task required of a manager. The objective of the course is to teach the basic principles of strategic human resource managementhow an organization acquires, rewards, motivates, uses, and generally manages its people effectively. In addition to providing a basic legal, conceptual and practical framework for managers, the course will introduce practices and techniques for evaluating performance, structuring teams, equipping, training and mentoring people, and performing the wide range of other people-related duties of a manager in todays increasingly complex workplace. (3) Limited to online program students.
