EDU 3660 - Integrating Enrichment Areas

Credits: 2

This course introduces the knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to teaching in the enrichment areas by exposing students to “hands-on” interdisciplinary experiences in art, music, and physical education. It helps students design and evaluate developmentally appropriate learning environments and instructional experiences, and implement national and state standards in lesson design. Preparation of lesson plans that actively involve school students in meaningful content and a focus on the ADEPT Performance Standards and state curriculum standards, as well as integrating biblical truth, are also important parts of this course. This course will help students evaluate themselves as prospective discerning educators. Prerequisites: Admission to the M.A.T. program.
