EDU 4601 - Foundations of Reading

Provides theoretical and research-based foundations for literacy and language development, with a specific focus on emergent literacy and best practices for using childrens literature. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between literacy, language, and environment for effective instructional design in early childhood and elementary. This course is part of the 12-credit hour South Carolina Read to Succeed requirement.
