CNS 5345 Foundations of Marriage and Family Theory & Counseling
This course provides students with an overview of Gods design for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships and applying this design to practice in counseling. In order to establish a paradigm from which to work with couples and families, students will be introduced to family therapy and couples counseling models and will receive practical resources for getting started. Couples and families are viewed in the context of larger influential systems which have their own cultural and community distinctiveness. The theoretical foundation establishes models and methods for specific clinical interventions. Letter Grade. No prerequisites. (3)
